The Return of Good Times!

Howdy folks! Yep - i'm managing to blog despite having consumed painful amounts of alcohol in the last 24 hours. A BRUTAL night yesterday with my dorm mates, and a savage day of drinking wine. Yes, it really is possible to make wine tasting a hardcore drink-a-thon! Hell, i make anything cool - it's me!

So, where to start? Well probably where i left off. Always a good start i reckon! Well, last night in order to drown our abject misery we hit the drink and the animals. No, not in that way... although the topic of beastiality (animal-lovin') will come up later in this blog! Well, as with the US, we decided that eating crazy animals was the way forward. So myself, Vij and Dutch Guy (aka Paul) went to the local game restaurant. What did we eat?? Well, personally i feasted on Kudu, Impala, Springbok, Crocodile and Zebra. Gotta say guys - my fascination with eating weird and whacky animals has not faded with time. This is only the beginning guys - i've been here one day and eaten a good few animals off the Savannah. Be afraid beasts. Be very afraid.

So... after that, we decided that some binge drinking was the order of the day. At which point Vij and I reaffirmed our fascination with drinking cocktails (as we did in Kefalonia - the last time we went on hols together). 6 mentally coloured cocktails later, we were met by our room-mates (all are Dutch) - Paul, Daisy and Jill. Fun times ensued and the banter was flowing- again, the drink makes me outrageously blunt and everything from the Dutch fascination with having sex with horses to sticking your fingers in dykes came up. The alcohol to bullshit out of my mouth ratio was spot on, and we stayed out retardedly late, despite both being immensely tired (remember - 3 hours sleep on the plane) we rocked it HARD last night. So in the end, we got another 3 hours sleep. 6 hours in two days. I'm setting myself up for one HELL of a crash and burn soon... but hell, you're only young once right? And at these prices, i'm laughing!

A brutal night, which we're intending to repeat this evening, and as we're leaving Cape Town tomorrow morning (we hope), this one will be twice as savage. Well, two things stood out about last night, that MUST be retold. My fans will know that in the US i had a good time heckling a comedian in LA, and ruining his act entirely (yes, i'm a cruel guy aren't i?), well last night it was time to mess up a karaoke-DJ. In the final bar we were in, the DJ was singing some songs. So he embarked on "Land of the Rising Sun" - the one about New Orleans. At which point Vij and I decided it'd be enormously funny to laugh, which totally put him off his stride, and he then began to laugh - ruining the song - and pleading for us to stop as "this is meant to be a... serious song". Ah, good times. Also, it must be mentioned that Cape Town has its fair share of loonies too, much like the US did. We encountered one in the bar last night, who was telling us he was let out of psychiatric help the day before. He was crushing my mojo, so had to go! I can't confer how goddamn annoying he was...

And today? Well, we hit the wine route. S Africa is renowned for its grapey stuff and we have drank a LOT today. I won't lie, i feel pretty rough right now - having consumed about 15 glasses of wine so far. I'm actually amazed how lucidly i'm retelling my tales - actually, i'll probably read this tomorrow and realise i've probably just written "DRUNK" or "HORSES" a lot in this blog, ah well! Ultimately, we hit 4 wineries and drank LOADS of wine with some more awesome folks. A top mix of guys and girls - i managed to contain myself from making obscene jokes though. Tonight - this will not be the case. Back on with my normal "Aaron-Style" sense of humour. Those of you that know me well know EXACTLY what i'm like when i'm drunk. I'm the most fun this side of Johannesburg.

So, on that note... i'm going to leave it for now, as i need a little bit of kip before embarking on another night of getting crunk. We leave for Hermanus (again, hopefully) in the morning. I'll explain all this hoping tomorrow, if Hermanus has internet... We shall see dudes.

As always - take care guys and girls - sending lots of love to y'all,

Aaron x
